Ong Con Island in Dai Phuoc Commune (Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province) is a famous location - a unique water-form oasis with abundant natural landscape, four sides covered by Dong Nai river with trees and canal systems. This place is also granted a water coconut ecosystem by Mother Nature, bringing both the green and the protection belt to help maintaining the sustainable development of Ong Con Island.
With four sides of terrain bordered by waterways and favorable landscape, this place is suitable for ecotourism development, serving the resting and recreation needs of local people and the Southeast Provincial residents, especially from Ho Chi Minh City.
Recognizing the potential of this oasis, in order to stimulate the project, the investor DIC Corp has invested VND 228 billion to build Dai Phuoc Bridge. Once completed in July 2009, Dai Phuoc bridge will awake the potential and status of a lotus pond abandoned for years.
Besides, when the technical infrastructure system is synchronously invested along with properly arranged functional subdivisions, this project promises to create a miniature modern city including: Housing projects in the form of villas, apartments, commercial centers; large projects such as office buildings, hotels, trade centers, entertainment spots, leisure, golf courses and resorts, etc.
Up to now, this “pearl” has been honed into a Dai Phuoc Ecotourism Urban Area with 464 hectares in scale, ensuring a more modern appearance but still retain the natural beauty of trees and rivers.
Investor: DIC Corp
Location: Ong Con Island, Dai Phuoc Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province
Construction Scale: 464.6 ha
Total investment capital: VND 7,506 billion
Expected completion time: 2019.
This project owns a favorable location on the economic development axis in the Southeast of Vietnam, adjacent to Districts 2 and District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City with important traffic routes such as: National Highway No. 51A connecting National Highway No.1 with Vung Tau City, Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway connecting the future Long Thanh airport.
With seamless transport infrastructure system, the distance from this project to neighboring areas is becoming shorter and faster. Specifically, currently it takes 50 minutes by roadway and 30 minutes by waterway from Ho Chi Minh City to Dai Phuoc Ecotourism Urban Area; in the near future, when the ring road No. 3 (Nhon Trach Bridge) is completed, that duration will be shortened to only 20 minutes by roadway.
Recently, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has proposed the Prime Minister to approve the policy of supplementing the planning of building bridges to replace Cat Lai ferry for the Ho Chi Minh’s transportation development planning until 2020 and a vision after 2020. Having the investment cost of VND 5,700 billion, this bridge will connect District 2 to Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province. The early investment in construction of the complete bridge to replace Cat Lai ferry will create clear road for container trucks to Cat Lai’s port, shortening the travel time, gradually completing the transportation systems of the area in particular and the Southern Vietnam key economic region in general.
The items of luxury villas, Marina, 18-hole International Jeongsan Vina Golf Course and many other facilities have been put into use. In addition, DIC Corp has completely invested in the main technical infrastructure of the project to meet the requirements of secondary investors, including Dai Phuoc Bridge, wastewater treatment plant, water supply station and main traffic lines, water supply and electricity supply. At the same time, DIC Corp has invested in technical infrastructure in subdivision 1, 2 and was authorized by Dong Nai People's Committee to transfer the Land Use Rights of 226 lots.
According to the 2017 plan, DIC Corp will complete the adjustment of the 1/2000, 1/500 planning of the project. In addition, the project continues to invite secondary investors into the project and carry out the transfer of contracts from the process contract to the transfer contract for customers in subdivision 1, 2.
After less than 5 years, the second level projects of the Dai Phuoc eco-tourism urban area have been put into operation with the 18-hole international golf course and Dai Phuoc Lotus.
Taekwang Jeongsan Country Club is the first golf course in Vietnam that can be reached by land or by water. This 18-hole golf course is invested by Jeongsan Vina Co., Ltd, which belongs to the Korean Taekwang Corporation and designed by the American Golf Plan Company (US). The golf course has an area of 84 ha, including resort, swimming pool, tennis court, etc. with the total investment of about US$ 44 million.
This is part of a US$ 400 million investment project with UK investment fund VinaCapital with the total area of 200hectares. Dai Phuoc Lotus Villa was developed in the first phase of the urban area, consisting of 332 single and double luxury villas designed in accordance with contemporary tropical standards, bringing a classy lifestyle and ideal relaxing place.
