DIC GROUP - 28 YEAR JOURNEY OF BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT

At the ceremony, all the staffs together reviewed the milestone making proudly history of DIC. Accordingly, DIC Corp was formerly is the guesthouse owned by Ministry of Construction, serving the accommodation for the staffs in the South of Vietnam. Over the course of 28 years, DIC Corp has grown to become a multi-sector corporation with a network of 8 subsidiaries, 7 associates and 9 other investment companies with nearly 8,000 employees (as of 31^st Dec 2017). Currently, DIC Corp is investing in many large scale projects such as: Chi Linh Urban Area Project (Vung Tau City); Nam Vinh Yen New Urban Area Project (Vinh Phuc province) and other projects in Ha Nam, Dong Nai, Hau Giang, Phu Quoc - Kien Giang ... This is the result of long-term vision and strategic planning, the direction of the Board of Directors (BODs), the Board of Management and the collective strength of all employees.

In particular, on 28^th Nov 2017, DIC Corp successfully withdrew 49.65% of state capital. This is the most important event of the year 2017, marking the transition to the private economic group which opens new opportunities and challenges.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of DIC Corp, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan emphasized: "Although operating under the model of private economic corporation for 6 months, up to now, DIC has shown many positive signs. However, this is also a great challenge in the business mission of DIC Corp, with the goal is to bring practical economic benefits for both the stakeholders and the employees.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan, Chairman of DIC Corp, shared DIC's 28-year growing momentum and hopes for the development of DIC to become Vietnam's leading brand in the field of tourism real estate.

In particular, after many comprehensive efforts on growth and social responsibility, in the past year, DIC Corp has been honored with the top 50 famous Vietnamese brands; Excellent Brand ... recognizing the contribution of DIC Corp to the economy and community, affirming the position of sustainable development in the context of international economic integration. Continuing to rank higher in the prestigious business rankings has affirmed the growing prestige and position of the DIC brand.

In the development strategy for the period of 2018 - 2022, DIC Corp will focus on six major tasks in investment, finance, business, human resources, internal and external affairs, business restructuring. Since then, the corporation has set a target to become the leading developer of tourism real estate, bringing practical benefits to shareholders in particular, with a growth rate of 10-15% per year and dividend from 10 - 15% per year.

At this event, many outstanding individuals and organizations were honored for their contribution to the overall development of the Corporation.

DIC Corp, DIC Concrete, DIC T & T and DIC No. 1 honorably received the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Construction for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to implement the tasks of the 2017 work plan.

DIC Group, DIC Phuong Nam’s Trade Union received the Emulation Flag of the Vietnamese Labor General Federation for their excellent performance in the labor emulation movement and the building of a strong trade union organization in 2017.

Mr. Tran Minh Phu, General Director of DIC Corp awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who have outstanding achievements in the work of occupational safety and health, DIC’s fire prevention in 2017.

As part of the rally, the organizers have summarized the 18th DIC Group Sport Day. This year's sport day will take place from May 12-19, attracting 800 athletes competing in 4 divisions: badminton, tennis, table tennis and mini football.

DIC Group’s Sport Day continues to be a healthy playground, connecting all members of the DIC family.

After more than a week of fierce competition, this year's Sport Day has found the individuals, collective for the championship, first, second, third ranking. Specifically:

• Badminton: Men's Singles Champion: Le Van Lam (DIC No. 2); Men's doubles champion: Nguyen Viet Hung (DIC Corp), Hoang Anh Dung (DIC T & T); The Men-Woman's doubles champion: Nguyen Viet Hung, Diep Thi Ngoc Lan (DIC Corp);
• Tennis: Men's doubles champion: Pham Ba Phuc, Bui Ngoc Hai (DIC T & T);
• Table tennis: Men's singles champion: Vu Anh Tuan (DIC Concrete); Men's doubles champion Le Duc Tho, Nguyen Ngoc Ly (DIC Resco)
• Minor Soccer: DIC T & T Champion.
