DIC GROUP COOPERATES IN DEVELOPING RENEWABLE ENERGY, INDUSTRIAL PARKS, ENVIRONMENT AND LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE

On the afternoon of December 7^th, 2023, DIC Group (HoSE: DIG), EB Vietnam Environmental Energy Joint Stock Company Limited (Everbright Environment) and China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation. This is an important event, creating a premise for the contribution of DIC Group to the sustainable development of the country in the field of renewable energy and environmental treatment.

DIC Group, Everbright Environment and CHEC signed a memorandum of cooperation agreement.

DIC Group, Everbright Environment and CHEC implement strategic cooperation in the field of environment and energy: research and investment in waste and wastewater collection and treatment projects; renewable power generation projects (solar power, wind power, electricity from waste...) and seaports, transport infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure. 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan – Chairman of DIC Group emphasized: "The signing of cooperation with Everbright Environment and CHEC - Two leading Chinese corporations in the field of environment and renewable energy is an important premise for DIC Group to quickly implement green energy projects, smart and sustainable in Vietnam. Participating in the journey to realize the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 of the Government of Vietnam, DIC Group has developed its own transition roadmap. In particular, implementing ESG (Environment-Social-Governance) is the only way to survive and develop sustainably, DIC Group is committed to implementing ESG in all areas of investment, production and business".

At the Global Climate Change Summit (COP26), Vietnam committed to achieving the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 and joined the global declaration on the transition of coal power to clean energy. As the investor of many large cities in Vietnam, DIC Group has taken actions to accompany the Government, researching to build green, smart and sustainable cities. In addition, enterprises actively expand their partner network, looking for experienced investors in the field of renewable energy to contribute to Vietnam's "green future".

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, DIC Group Headquarters is the first project to be awarded EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) green certification. As the common home of more than 300 employees, DIC Group Headquarters is synchronously invested in modern facilities according to the DIC standard brand recognition system. In particular, integrating energy solutions and complying with EDGE certification is a top priority.
