DIG WAS ADDED IN MSCI FRONTIER MARKETS SMALL CAP

A series of Vietnamese stocks were added and excluded from the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap basket at this review.

The MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Index basket at the May 2021 review continued to strongly fluctuate with 24 newly added and 24 eliminated stocks.

Specifically, for Vietnam, there are 8 stocks added to the index basket including FLC, DXG, DGC, GMD, HNG, DIG, VCI, VCG. On the other side, 5 codes DHG, HT1, PAN, SHB and VCS were excluded.

For the case of SHB, this stock was removed from the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap to be added to the MSCI Frontier Market.

The remaining 16 stocks came from 6 countries including: Sri Lanka (2), Croatia (1), Estonia (1), Ice Land (10), Romania (1).

Vietnam's ratio increased to 25.03%

Thus, the number of stocks in the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Index portfolio remained at 149. As of the end of April 30th 2021, Vietnam is accounting for the highest proportion in the index with 25.03%, up from 21.51% in 3 months ago.

Vietnam's ratio has been increased recently thanks to the fact that MSCI has started to exclude Kuwaiti stock from the marginal market list and the strong increase of the Vietnamese stock market.

As of April 30th 2021, SHB is currently having the largest ratio in the MSCI Frontier Market portfolio with 2.63%. Vietnam also have PDR and SSI listed in the top 10 stocks with the largest proportion in the portfolio.

All changes will take effect from June 1st 2021. The next announcement of MSCI list will be on August 11th 2021 CEST time (UTC +1), equivalent to the morning of August 12th 2021 in Vietnam time.
