MR. NGUYEN THIEN TUAN - THE LATE CHAIRMAN OF DIC GROUP: THE 34-YEAR JOURNEY OF LAYING THE FOUNDATION

The late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan was the one who laid the foundation for the construction of DIC Group from the early days of its establishment until now. Throughout the journey of more than 34 years of passionate and enthusiastic dedication, the talented captain Nguyen Thien Tuan had oriented, led and steered the ship to overcome many turbulences and conquer new heights. Model megacities in satellite cities such as: DIC Chi Linh City Urban Area; DIC Dai Phuoc City Dong Nai Urban Area; DIC Victory City Hau Giang Urban Area; DIC Nam Vinh Yen City Vinh Phuc Urban Area... not only demonstrate the stature of DIC Group but also the legacy of Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan. This is the foundation for DIC Group to continue to develop steadily.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan was born in 1957, originally in Hoa Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province, with a master's degree in economics. He started his career at the age of 21, after 10 years of work, he was promoted to important positions. In 1990, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan was appointed as the director of the Ministry of Construction's guesthouse in Vung Tau city. This was an important milestone marking Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan's journey to start building DIC Group. 

With the dynamism of Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan, in 2003, DIC Group was selected by the Government as one of the first units under the Ministry of Construction to operate on a pilot basis under the model of Parent Company - Subsidiary. By the end of 2007, the enterprise completed the equitization, opening up many advantages in proactively funding and scope of operation.

On August 19^th, 2009, DIC Group officially listed its shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange with the stock code DIG. The successful listing of shares has created a strong development momentum. November 28^th, 2017 marked an important turning point in production and business activities after the enterprise successfully divested 49.65% of state capital to the model of a private economic group.

Throughout the development of DIC Group, the late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan had directed five drastic restructurings to suit the operating model over time and expand the scale and field of production and business towards sustainable development.

Under the leadership of the late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan, DIC Group has risen to become the Top 10 most prestigious real estate companies in Vietnam from a small company under the Ministry of Construction. Charter capital: 6,099 billion VND; Total assets: 18,445 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan not only led DIC Group to sustainable development but also left a legacy with model megacities in many satellite cities of Vietnam. Typically, such as: DIC Chi Linh City Urban Area; DIC Dai Phuoc City Dong Nai Urban Area; DIC Victory City Hau Giang Urban Area; DIC Nam Vinh Yen City Urban Area.

Business development associated with community benefits is the operating principle of the late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan during more than three decades of managing DIC Group. In the period from 2019 to 2023 alone, DIC Group has contributed nearly VND 1,500 billion to the State budget and nearly VND 100 billion to community activities nationwide.

At the 30th Anniversary of DIC Group (May 26, 1990 - May 26, 2020), Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan - the late Chairman shared: "Training and fostering the next generation of personnel is a key priority of DIC Group in the next phase." 

With a methodical business strategy and foresight, the late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan paid great attention to human resources. For many years, the training of inherited leaders and fostering high-quality successors have been actively implemented by the Board of Directors of DIC Group.

Looking back on the journey of more than 34 years, with his enthusiasm and talent, the late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan had led DIC Group to overcome many difficulties, transform itself in the face of the ups and downs of the economy, contributing to the innovation and modernization of the country. The late Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan had dedicated his energy, talent and wisdom for the development and growth of DIC Group.
