HIGH-SPEED SHIP GOING FROM VUNG TAU TO CON DAO WITHIN JUST MORE THAN 3 HOURS

Con Dao Express 36 two-body high-speed ship in Da Bridge - Vung Tau port in the morning of 14th Feb 2019.

The ship is designed in modern European standards with nearly 47 meters length, 12 meters wide, accommodating nearly 600 passengers. Con Dao Express 36’s Captain Mr. Duong Van Thien said that the ship is built according to national standards for high-speed ship, so it will operate with high stability; the passenger compartment is also very spacious, comfortable, helping passengers and crew members get rid from tired, minimizing the "seasickness" syndrome.

Thanks to the two-body design, the ship is stable, minimizing seasickness syndrome for passengers.

Notably, according to the investor, Con Dao Express 36 is equipped with four MTU Roll-Royce machines, with a maximum speed of 35 knots (60km)/h. Thus, it will shorten the time from Vung Tau to Con Dao and vice versa within more than 3 hours.

Mr. Vu Van Khuong, general director of Phu Quoc High-Speed Ship JSC said that this ship has a total investment of about VND80 billion. According to the design, the ship is able to withstand waves of level 7 and 8, so passengers are completely assured when traveling because according to the turbulent survey in Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s sea, in normal conditions,  the wave level only at 4.5.

Starting from February 15th 2019, Con Dao Express 36 officially operated with the port at 8am at Da Bridge, Quang Trung Street, Vung Tau City and the port on the afternoon of the same day in Ben Dam port - Con Dao island. Prices range from VND 660.000 to VND 1.2 million / turn.
